Applebee's Window Sign, Signs of Life
Hi This is Mike from Signs Of Life, Today we painted a Window Sign at our first Applebee Restuarant. They are located at Chandler blvd. and 48 st. in Phoenix Az. The Window Sign we painted promotes them carring the UFC fights twice a month. The General Manager Jason was very excited to see the bright colors of the Window Sign and cool 3-D effect we put on the Sign Letters. Jason said ” Your Sign is incredible and you will probably end up doing a lot more Signs at locations here in the valley!” I can see a Window Sign at locations in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa,Avondale, Gilbert, Peoria, Casa Grande, Deer Valley, Paradise Valley, Surprise and possibly Tucson! For the layout of the Sign, I went with the UFC logo lettering style and chose the brightest red color I had. Then I outlined the Sign in a acrylic black to make the bright colors POP! Once I had the colors done and the black outlined, using a clear with a touch of black I put a shade on the letters of the Sign. It gives the Window Sign letters the appearence of being 3-D. After everything dries I put a Ultra Violet Clear over the paint to protect the finished Window Sign. They Applebee employees came out a few times during the Sign making adventure to ask questions. They asked if ” the Window Sign I was painting was done with Stencils? No, I told them,the Sign is all done by hand. They thought that was pretty cool. After 3 hours of baking in the Arizona Sun Applebee’s Window Sign was complete. I also painted a Window Sign in another window that promoted Karaoke and Trivia, but the UFC Sign looked the best.
